Experimental and numerical analysis of a new wind tunnel for building and mechanical ventilation components performance assessment

چکیده

Aeraulic, air movement, and wind effects studies are of high importance when assessing building performances. Indeed, several have been conducted using tunnels to better understand aerodynamics inside around buildings. The objective this study is accurately characterize the velocity field test chamber a tunnel at different locations Hot-Wire-Anemometry technique propose an experimental protocol extend use mechanical ventilation systems’ To end, first intercomparing involving six hot-wire anemometers was carried out verify accuracy measurements. In addition, we developed CFD numerical model under Ansys Fluent environment. Several turbulence models, schemes, mesh types were studied analyze distribution identify appropriate fitting results. As result, uses Quadrilateral Structured Fine Mapped mesh, Standard k−ε as model, MUSCL discretization scheme with relative error 5.21% experiment values.
